Why do we do that?
My name is Mihail and for the past fourteen years I’ve been telling other people's life stories in the biggest reality shows and prime-time TV productions in my country – Bulgaria.
I am a father, writer, rude gentleman, martial artist and a documentary filmmaker on his journey to explore the spirit of the everyday warriors around the world.
My partner in this adventure is the original BJJ nomad himself - Dimitrios Tsitos – a lifeguard, ex-professional swimmer and a BJJ black belt, who spent the last 10 years travelling around the world teaching, competing and enjoying the lifestyle of the BJJ nomad, visiting more than 60 countries and never staying more than six months at one place.
For two years both of us travelled, trained and collected the incredible life stories of the local fighters from the Balkans, Western Europe and the Arab gulf and BJJ NO-MAD is our diary.
We are living by the gi, but not because we wear it on the mat, but because we live by the code that comes with it every single minute in our lifes.
We are no-mads, but not because we travel, but because we seek. We're searching for something more in this life.
This is the “BJJ NO-MAD”.
P.S. From day one both of us had a very serious agreement that this documentary will never deal with politics. At the same time war history and the military life have always been something that fascinated me and I needed a space where I can share my feelings about them. So that’s how my second documentary series THE NO-MAD CHRONICLES were born.
THE CHRONICLES have same flow as the NO-MAD, but with no limitations when it comes to the subject. I truly believe that these two documentary series will make my little girl proud, when I’m gone. Thank you for being interested in what I do.
